The pendant of this necklace is made from Tibetan red copper which bears the exquisitely detailed hand-engraved "eight auspicious symbols" of Tibet. The eight auspicious symbols, which are central to the Tibetan belief system, are as follows: (1) The conch shell (2) The lotus (3) The wheel (4) The parasol (5) The endless knot (6) The golden fishes (7) The victory banner (8) The treasure vase.

The eight auspicious symbols are believed to bring happiness and spiritual fulfilment to the wearer. The pednant is suspended from a necklace of durable black plaited cord.
